New Proficiencies

In this wiki I will be keeping details on any new weapon or non-weapon proficiencies that I design, or that enter the game from sources other than the Player’s Handbook. If such proficiencies come from a 2E Handbook, I will simply list the name of the Proficiency and the source. If it comes from some other source, like Dragon Magazine, I will include a full description.
I have started with a few that I know I will be using. Others will be added as they enter the game.

Weapon Finesse

Requirements: Minimum Dexterity of 10.
Description: A character with this proficiency has learned the value of speed and coordination over brute strength with lighter melee weapons. He may replace his strength attack bonus with his dexterity “reaction adjustment” when using certain weapons. The benefits of this proficiency only apply to melee weapons wielded with one hand. Weapons must also be size Medium or smaller, with a weight of 4 or less. There are two exceptions – the sabre and hand axe may also be used with Weapon Finesse, even though they do not meet the normal requirements.
